Pastry Pro Supports the 5th Global Culinary Challenge Malaysia
Championing Culinary Talent, Innovation, and the Future of Malaysia's Food Industry

For Pastry Pro, supporting the development of Malaysia's culinary industry has always been more than simply supplying ingredients and equipment. It is about being part of the community that helps chefs develop their skills, exchange knowledge, and push the boundaries of culinary creativity.
This commitment is why Pastry Pro has been a strong supporter and one of the major sponsors of the Global Culinary Challenge Malaysia (GCCM) since its early editions.
Now in its 5th year, GCCM has developed into an international culinary platform that brings together chefs, culinary professionals, and young talents to compete, learn, and exchange experiences. The competition is endorsed by the World Association of Chefs' Societies (Worldchefs) and aims to promote culinary skills, food culture, international exchange, and Malaysia as a destination for culinary and tourism activities.
From Bintulu to Kuala Lumpur
For the 2026 edition, Pastry Pro extended its support across the GCCM Malaysia Tour.
The first stop was the Bintulu, Sarawak leg, held on 15–16 April 2026 at Dewan Suarah Bintulu. The event brought the GCCM platform to East Malaysia, connecting culinary talents and industry participants while highlighting the region's food culture and potential.
Pastry Pro continued its sponsorship at the Kuala Lumpur leg, held from 21–23 July 2026 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
The KL event provided a much larger international platform, bringing together culinary competitors and professionals alongside Food & Drinks Malaysia by SIAL (FDM2026). The programmed featured international culinary competitions, live cooking challenges and the prestigious GCCM United Cup Team Challenge.
Bringing Our Brands Closer to the Culinary Community

Beyond financial sponsorship, Pastry Pro was proud to participate directly at the GCCM events. We had our own Pastry Pro booth at MITEC and the Seremban finale, allowing us to engage directly with chefs, competitors and industry visitors while showcasing some of the core brands available through Pastry Pro.
Among the brands featured were:
- ü Unox – professional cooking and baking equipment
- ü Pâtissier – pastry and bakery solutions
- ü Boiron – premium fruit and fruit preparation products
The presence of these brands at GCCM provided an opportunity to demonstrate how professional ingredients and equipment support chefs in turning culinary concepts into competition-ready creations.
Celebrating Excellence at the Seremban Finale
The final leg of the 5th GCCM Tour took place in Seremban on 23–24 July 2026, with activities held at Dewan Majlis Bandaraya Seremban and NSK Trade City Seremban 2. The competition brought together chefs, international judges and culinary enthusiasts to celebrate culinary talent and creativity.
The finale was also a particularly meaningful moment for Pastry Pro.
Our Managing Director, Mr Ong, was invited to present the winners' trophies for three key competition categories:
- ² GCCM 2026 Pastry Pro Master Pâtissier Challenge Cup
- ² Chocolate Dessert Challenge Cup
- ² Birthday Cake Challenge Cup
Being invited to present these awards was a significant recognition of Pastry Pro's continued involvement and commitment to the culinary community.

More Than a Competition
GCCM's vision extends beyond competition.
It creates a platform where chefs from different countries and backgrounds can meet, exchange techniques and experiences, discover new industry insights and develop innovative approaches to cuisine.
For Malaysia, events such as GCCM also help showcase our culinary identity to an international audience while creating opportunities for tourism, business networking and greater engagement across the food and hospitality industry. This aligns closely with Pastry Pro's own commitment to the industry.
As a company that has been serving the food industry since 1984, we believe our role extends beyond providing products. Supporting the people who use those products — from aspiring young chefs to experienced professionals — is an important part of contributing to the continued development of the industry.
Continuing Our Commitment
The success and growing international reach of GCCM demonstrate the value of bringing the culinary community together.
As GCCM enters its fifth year, Pastry Pro is proud to continue standing alongside the organizers, chefs, competitors and industry partners who share the same passion for culinary excellence.
From ingredients and equipment to competitions and education, Pastry Pro remains committed to supporting the people who shape the future of Malaysia's food industry.
